Last year, with much thrill, the very first 3G Blackberry cell phone was put on the market, called the Blackberry Bold 9000. With it’s exceptionally rapid speeds compared to Research in Motion’s previous EDGE phones, startling picture quality and much much more, Research in Motion was able to set a new standard for their Blackberry cell phones. After came the Curve/Javelin 8900, Storm 9530, Storm 2 9550, Tour 9630 and the Curve/Gemini 8520 . Research in Motion has finally publicized the Blackberry Bold 9700, and with a tremendous amount of pride, have exhibited swifter more rapid speeds, tremendous image quality, and a great amount more features.
Many clients have been rapidly calling *611 to Rogers in Canada, T-mobile, AT&T – USA asking for hardware upgrades, many signing new contracts with these carrier companies, and the grey markets like E-bay are being flocked with over priced costs on the Bold 9700 (also known as the) Onyx. An even higher thrill is now in action. With all of this eagerness, Cellfservices has analyzed a contrast between the Blackberry Bold 9000 and the 9700.Cellfservices – a provider of Subsidy Unlock Codes, has detailed the following in the 2 videos on their Youtube website.
Part 1: Bold 9000 vs. Bold 9700 – Hardware, Firmware and Features
The Blackberry 9700 definitely hasn’t failed to exceed our expectations. With the striking style of the Curve and Tour 9630, RIM has created a device lighter and faster than the Bold 9000. In the videos, we endeavor to show the specifications below…
- Physical Synopsis – Embedded Rubber buttons vs. Metal buttons on the 9000
- Text Features – Firmware 5.0.0.321 vs. Firmware 4.6.0.162
- Back of Phone – SIM card slots and Micro SD slots
- Protective Covers – Peeling the stickers. It’s tough to do this.
- Loading Screens – Black with Logo loading screen vs. Piercing White light
Part 2: Bold 9000 vs. Bold 9700 – Media: Images and Video
In our best attempt, we’ve shot photos in low light in a stationary position (9000) vs (9700), and in daylight (9000) vs (9700)with the 2 different camera phones from the equivalent sites. We also thought it would be appropriate to take video footage of downtown Toronto, Canada with the Bold 1 in 1 hand and the 9700 in opposite hands. Here, you will be able toevaluate the video quality as well as the audio quality from both mobiles.
- Picture Class: Low light & Brighter Light pictures
- Film Value: Measures the sounds of traffic.
Findings:
We’ve been able to draw a few findings from our video evaluation.
- With firmware 5.0 on the 9700, processing rates, browser speeds and features such as SMS are a lot enhanced
- The lighter weight and smaller device make it more suitable to carry around
- Embedded rubber buttons will wear slower on the Bold 9700 than the metal buttons on the BlackBerry 9000
- Images capture additional colors with the Bold 9700.
- Film quality is a lot different. The Bold 9000 has a higher pitched audio and has a tendency to cut in and out, while the BlackBerry 9700 captures more of what your voice really sounds like and slices out unnecessary racket, yet captures slight sought after noises.
In our view, we believe that the BlackBerry 9700 will be the most excellent Blackberry smartphone available on the market for at least the next year.
